# A GorillaDesk alternative for recurring routes

GorillaDesk is software for small route businesses; its own site names pest control, pool service and lawn care as its industries. It prices differently from most field service software: by **route**, meaning each schedule a technician runs, with unlimited users who are not on a schedule. This page lays out what that costs at each size, compares it with a product priced by the person, and says plainly when GorillaDesk is the better choice. It is written by DoneOnce, which sells a competing product.

GorillaDesk's prices were read on its own pricing page, https://gorilladesk.com/pricing/, on 2026-09-30, in a real browser, with its route slider moved through every size and the billing on monthly. The page says its plans are month-to-month with no contracts and no setup fees. Plans change; check the page before deciding.

## What GorillaDesk costs a month, by route

| Routes | Basic | Pro | Growth | DoneOnce, one person per route |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 route | $49 | $99 | $149 | $69 |
| 2 routes | $99 | $149 | $249 | $69 |
| 3 routes | $149 | $199 | $299 | $69 |
| 4 routes | $179 | $249 | $349 | $84 |
| 5 routes | $209 | $299 | $499 | $99 |
| 8 routes | $299 | $449 | $649 | $144 |
| 10 routes | $359 | $549 | $749 | $174 |
| 15 routes | $509 | $799 | $999 | $224 |

Prices as published by GorillaDesk on 2026-09-30. GorillaDesk is a trademark of its owner; DoneOnce is not affiliated with it.

Per month, in U.S. dollars, billed monthly. The slider publishes a price for every size from 1 to 75 routes, and "Chat With Us" past 75. GorillaDesk also sells yearly billing; those prices are not quoted here.

## Routes against people: which is cheaper for you

The two products count different things, so the fair comparison depends on how your crew works.

- **GorillaDesk counts schedules.** Its FAQ says only users assigned to a schedule need a paid seat, so the owner and the office are free, and a crew that rides together needs a schedule only for its crew leader. Two people on one truck are one route.
- **DoneOnce counts people.** Every person who signs in is a seat, office included, but the first three are included in the $69: $69 a month for a team of up to 3, $15 per person from the 4th to the 10th and $10 from the 11th.

So for **one route**, GorillaDesk Basic is $20 a month cheaper than DoneOnce, whether one person or a truck of two runs it. From **two solo routes** on, DoneOnce costs less on the table above: $69 against $99 for two technicians, $99 against $209 for five. Where most of the crew rides in pairs, count your routes and your people and put both into the [savings calculator](/calculator), which prices GorillaDesk by route and DoneOnce by person from the same dated file.

## What each GorillaDesk plan adds

From the same page on 2026-09-30:

- **Basic:** unlimited admin users and mobile devices, invoices, estimates and work orders, advanced invoice frequencies, job and customer mapping, basic routing (limited to 25 stops), Square and Stripe, broadcast messaging, triggered automations, automated emails and texts, and dashboards.
- **Pro:** everything in Basic, plus a customer online portal, online booking, Stripe and Square subscriptions, routing with a drive matrix, review generation, documents and e-signatures, device tracking and barcoding, commission tracking, QuickBooks Online sync, GPS tracking, time clocking, Zapier and open API access.
- **Growth:** everything in Pro, plus map estimation tools, drive time and best available time, a sales pipeline, custom fields and job statuses, and multi-branch support.

Text messaging is sold separately, as a monthly subscription plus credit packages. The page also says an account can be frozen if the business is seasonal, and that moving your data from another system is free.

Note where recurring billing sits: **Stripe and Square subscriptions are on Pro**, so a route business that bills a monthly plan by card should price Pro, not Basic.

## What DoneOnce is, and what it is not

DoneOnce is built for the business whose week repeats: the same clients on a weekly, every-two-weeks or monthly cycle, like a pool route, a lawn crew, a cleaning company or pest control. It has one plan with everything in it. Zones by ZIP code put each new client on the right day; each technician gets one route per day, sent to Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps, with a suggested reorder when a different order saves driving; visits are recorded on the route with photos; estimates with deposits and recurring subscriptions are approved and paid by card from the customer's phone, through the business's own Stripe account with no platform commission; the payments center shows who owes what and reminds them by email. Each person can use it in English or Spanish.

What it does not have that GorillaDesk does: online booking, QuickBooks sync, Square, custom documents with e-signatures, device tracking and barcoding, a sales pipeline, a Zapier integration or multi-branch support, and texting customers is not live yet. If you use those, GorillaDesk is the better fit.

## Stay on GorillaDesk if

- You run one route, or most of your crew rides together, and Basic covers what you need.
- You rely on online booking, QuickBooks Online sync, device tracking or texting today.
- Your office is large, since office users cost nothing on GorillaDesk.

## Switch to DoneOnce if

- Two or more technicians each run their own route on a recurring cycle, and the per-route price is what hurts.
- You bill recurring plans by card and want that in the one plan rather than on Pro.
- The owner, the office or the crew works in Spanish.
