# A Housecall Pro alternative for small recurring-service teams

Housecall Pro is a polished product, built around the service call: online booking, dispatch, "on my way" texts, review requests and consumer financing. The question that brings a small crew to a page like this one is usually the price of the plan it has to move to as it grows. This page puts the two prices side by side and says plainly when Housecall Pro is the better choice. For the full head-to-head, see [DoneOnce vs Housecall Pro](/compare/doneonce-vs-housecall-pro).

Housecall Pro's prices were read on its own pricing page, https://www.housecallpro.com/pricing/, on 2026-09-25: monthly billing, the same numbers as our first reading on 2026-09-20 and our re-reading on 2026-09-30. Plans change; check the page before deciding.

## What a team of 1 to 15 pays

| Team | DoneOnce | Housecall Pro |
|---|---|---|
| 1 person | $69 | $79 (Basic, 1 user) |
| 3 people | $69 | $189 (Essentials, 5 users) |
| 5 people | $99 | $189 (Essentials, 5 users) |
| 8 people | $144 | $329 (Max, 8 users) |
| 10 people | $174 | $399 (Max + 2 users at $35) |
| 15 people | $224 | $574 (Max + 7 users at $35) |

Prices as published by Housecall Pro on 2026-09-30. Housecall Pro is a trademark of its owner; DoneOnce is not affiliated with it.

Per month, in U.S. dollars. Housecall Pro's plans on that date: Basic $79 for 1 user, Essentials $189 for 5 users, Max $329 for 8 users and $35 a month per additional user. The page states an additional-user price only on Max, so a team of 2 to 5 is priced on Essentials and a team of 6 or more on Max. Paid yearly, Housecall Pro is $59, $149 and $299 a month; DoneOnce has no yearly plan and no contract.

## Why a small crew pays for the next plan

The jump is the plan, not the person. A second person on Housecall Pro means leaving Basic for Essentials, $110 more a month, because Basic's page lists one user and no price for a second. The sixth person means leaving Essentials for Max, $140 more. On DoneOnce the second and third person cost nothing, the 4th to the 10th are $15 each and from the 11th $10 each; every feature is in every team size. For a crew of three that is $69 against $189, or $828 against $2,268 across a year.

Card payments are a separate cost on both. DoneOnce takes no platform commission: the customer's money goes into the business's own Stripe account at Stripe's standard 2.9% + 30¢. The full DoneOnce price is on the [pricing page](/pricing), and the [savings calculator](/calculator) puts your own team size next to Housecall Pro's published plans.

## Spanish

Housecall Pro deserves credit here: its mobile app is in Spanish. Its help center (https://help.housecallpro.com/en/articles/10553447-using-housecall-pro-mobile-apps-in-spanish, read 2026-09-25) says Spanish is available on mobile devices, that some elements such as statuses, alerts and notifications stay in English, and that customer notifications are still sent in English.

DoneOnce is in Spanish for everyone who touches it, on the phone and on the desktop: the owner, the office and the technician each choose their language, and the estimate approval, the payment link, the customer emails and the help articles exist in Spanish too. More on the [Spanish and English](/spanish) page.

## What DoneOnce is built for

The business whose week repeats: the same clients on a weekly, biweekly or monthly cycle. Zones by ZIP code put a new client on the right day; each technician gets one route per day, sent to Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps; visits are recorded on the route, by hand or by talking to the voice assistant; estimates with deposits and recurring subscriptions are approved and paid from the customer's phone; the payments center shows who owes what and reminds them by email. A pool route, a lawn crew, a cleaning company, pest control: the trade is an example, the cycle is the point.

## Stay on Housecall Pro if

- You need online booking, consumer financing, automated review requests or a marketing suite today. DoneOnce does not have them.
- Your work is mostly one-off service calls run from a dispatch board.
- You want the largest set of integrations and add-ons, or a yearly plan at a lower monthly price.
- Your team already runs on Housecall Pro and the price is not what hurts.

## Switch to DoneOnce if

- You are two to fifteen people visiting the same clients on a cycle, and the next plan is the problem.
- Your customers read Spanish, or the owner works in Spanish on the phone.
- You want one plan with everything in it and a price that grows by the person, not by the plan.
