Jobs
A job is one-time work — a pump replacement, a re-sod, a deep clean — as opposed to a recurring service. Jobs live on the Jobs screen and on the client's file.
Where a job comes from
- Convert an approved estimate into a job (it arrives with no day and no crew on purpose — schedule it from Jobs).
- New job on a client, with a name, the day it starts and an estimated duration in minutes.
Status — six words, no rules between them
Pending · In progress · Paused · In review · Done · Canceled. Any word can be chosen from any other; nothing forces an order. Paused is ordinary (a business with more work than crew); Canceled is the one that means money did not happen.
On the job
- Assign it to a crew member and a day.
- Estimated vs actual minutes: the estimate you gave and the time it really took, side by side.
- Notes for the next person ("Old pump out, new one seated and primed").
- Files: photos, MP4/MOV/WebM video or PDF, attached to the job itself.
- When it is Done, the balance goes out as a Pay now link if there is one.
Inventory is not tracked in DoneOnce; parts go on the estimate's line items.
