A GorillaDesk alternative for recurring routes

GorillaDesk is software for small route businesses; its own site names pest control, pool service and lawn care as its industries. It prices differently from most field service software: by route, meaning each schedule a technician runs, with unlimited users who are not on a schedule. This page lays out what that costs at each size, compares it with a product priced by the person, and says plainly when GorillaDesk is the better choice. It is written by DoneOnce, which sells a competing product.

GorillaDesk's prices were read on its own pricing page, https://gorilladesk.com/pricing/, on 2026-09-30, in a real browser, with its route slider moved through every size and the billing on monthly. The page says its plans are month-to-month with no contracts and no setup fees. Plans change; check the page before deciding.

Routes against people: which is cheaper for you

The two products count different things, so the fair comparison depends on how your crew works.

So for one route, GorillaDesk Basic is $20 a month cheaper than DoneOnce, whether one person or a truck of two runs it. From two solo routes on, DoneOnce costs less on the table above: $69 against $99 for two technicians, $99 against $209 for five. Where most of the crew rides in pairs, count your routes and your people and put both into the savings calculator, which prices GorillaDesk by route and DoneOnce by person from the same dated file.

What each GorillaDesk plan adds

From the same page on 2026-09-30:

Text messaging is sold separately, as a monthly subscription plus credit packages. The page also says an account can be frozen if the business is seasonal, and that moving your data from another system is free.

Note where recurring billing sits: Stripe and Square subscriptions are on Pro, so a route business that bills a monthly plan by card should price Pro, not Basic.

What DoneOnce is, and what it is not

DoneOnce is built for the business whose week repeats: the same clients on a weekly, every-two-weeks or monthly cycle, like a pool route, a lawn crew, a cleaning company or pest control. It has one plan with everything in it. Zones by ZIP code put each new client on the right day; each technician gets one route per day, sent to Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps, with a suggested reorder when a different order saves driving; visits are recorded on the route with photos; estimates with deposits and recurring subscriptions are approved and paid by card from the customer's phone, through the business's own Stripe account with no platform commission; the payments center shows who owes what and reminds them by email. Each person can use it in English or Spanish.

What it does not have that GorillaDesk does: online booking, QuickBooks sync, Square, custom documents with e-signatures, device tracking and barcoding, a sales pipeline, a Zapier integration or multi-branch support, and texting customers is not live yet. If you use those, GorillaDesk is the better fit.
